Take Action
ACTION ALERT -- You can provide much needed, immediate support for the SSMN’s campaign for federal recognition by emailing or calling the following congressional staff and urging Representative Tom McClintock, and Senators Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris, to contact the Office of Federal Acknowledgement (OFA) and express their support for our Tribe’s request to immediately provide the documents the Tribe requested in our Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, which we submitted to the OFA almost a year ago (May 7, 2019). A copy of the SSMN FOIA request is available on our website. We have included below a link to sample letters you can use for this purpose, or you can write your own letter or call the congressional staff at the telephone numbers provided.
